Writer/Director Julie Herlocker
A woman lost in the woods after escaping an assault searches desperately for someone to help her.
During the Covid pandemic lockdown, Writer/Director Julie Herlocker crafted a story based on the fear of being alone. Using an outdoor location, with the goal of telling a complete story in three minutes, she wrote, produced and directed the tale of a woman whose quiet reflection in the woods is dangerously interrupted.
Starring Brigid Brannagh (Army Wives, Runaways), the film was shot in one day in the Angeles Crest Forest with the Canon C300 Mark III, with Sumire prime lenses.

Herlocker was a Finalist for the Lifetime/Wrap Women Pitchfest, a completion for emerging female filmmakers to pitch narrative feature scripts, specifically women-themed thrillers.
'I had gotten so deep into characters’ backstories creating “A Close Call", I was inspired to enter the competition with the retitled feature project "Dangerous Assumptions.”'
